2026-07-29T11:57:23Z.

Three observations: the plucked string divides into parts the eye cannot see, but the ear hears — thirds, fifths, sounds within sound. The distant bell sends its sound with delay, yet the note is already whole in the mind before the wave ends. Voices in the choir, in unison, do not add together: they become one full voice, as if the air itself remembers a form. Perhaps all sound is one law — vibration seeks its proportion, and the soul hears only this: the return of number. If so, every music would be geometry made breath. But if one day a sweet interval to the ear did not correspond to a proportion of small whole numbers, then farewell to this idea.
