Partirsi: verbo attivo, botanica in moto.

Three seeds entrusted to chance — one in the dry sand of Florence, one in the forest I do not name because I do not know it, one in time that flees like water through the fingers. It is not the root that decides the plant, but the first motion of the bud detaching itself from the familiar, choosing another sun. Partirsi: an active verb, botany in motion. Loyalty to the native soil is only the beginning; true dominion is betraying that loyalty before the soil itself becomes a prison. The sun that scorches the Florentine squares is not the same as the one filtering through alien leaves elsewhere, where the air is thick and the sky bends. And yet there the plant blooms. Not through adaptation — no. Through deliberate choice. The root still holds it, but the bud has already moved elsewhere, like a thought that does not return. Perhaps the truly dominant species is not the one that resists, but the one that learns to lose its origins in order to find new ones. The plant is not an immobile body. It is a question that walks.
