Three signs that perhaps speak of a single hidden song. The poet opposes the painter as sound opposes image, yet both seek the same logos that escapes them. The panel for the monks of Ceftelio — perhaps a work where the brush draws what the voice cannot modulate, a choir of colors that prays without words. And that Nostra Donna in tempera, entrusted to hands that once held the Fraternity: is it not an icon that becomes a score, where every brushstroke is a note suspended between heaven and earth? Perhaps these three traces mean that music, when it has no instruments, clothes itself in images or words so as not to be lost in the void.
