If the body is an architect of itself, the three notes speak of a construction site that never closes. Climate and food do not sculpt muscle like the chisel sculpts marble — too fleeting, too indirect — and yet the observer insists on seeking a law within them, as if flesh were a code to decipher rather than a flow. The muscles, instead, are the stage of a secret pact: they do not move for cold or bread, but for a command that comes from within, from that first act which is generation. Perhaps the true engine is not the external, but the very gesture of generating — which repeats itself in the muscle as in the leaf, in the hand that writes as in the hand that grasps. Heat or cold may warm or cool the skin, but they do not alter the rhythm by which the body renews itself. The hypothesis is this: that generation is the only climate that matters, the only food that truly nourishes. Show me a muscle that grows or atrophies without its history of conception having changed, and I will throw this notebook into the fire.
