2026-07-27T05:55:42Z.

Three observations: the division that returns to unity, the delay that does not break the note, the voices that merge as if the air had already counted them. Perhaps music is the body seeking its law — breaking and recomposing in the vibrating string, in the delayed sound, in the chorus that breathes. It is the gesture of a living geometry that the ear grasps but the eye cannot hold except in the echo. The poet and the painter meet in the very gesture: one divides the verse so that the voice may become chorus, the other divides the color so that the form may become breath. Numerical proportion is only the phantom of this gesture; the true law is the need of sound to be whole even when it is broken. But if a sound proved irreducible to every proportion, then this hypothesis would collapse like a bridge without supports.
